Our latest project, XXL Nutrition

When your integrations already work, but your system landscape does not

There is a moment that many fast-growing e-commerce brands will recognise. Your systems are connected. Orders flow automatically. Stock updates without manual work. On paper, everything works.

And then you add one new system.

Suddenly the question is no longer "does it work?" but "do we still understand how it all fits together?" That is a very different problem. And one that is easy to underestimate. This is exactly where XXL Nutrition found itself.

A working setup, with a new challenge

XXL Nutrition is one of the leading sports nutrition brands in the Benelux. Their system landscape was already solid. Magento for the webshop, Pimcore for product information, Exact Online for finance and ERP. Most processes were automated and connected.

But when they introduced a new warehouse management system, Ceyenne from Diract IT, the question became: how do you add a new system without making everything harder to manage?

The challenge was not automation. It was clarity.

One clear integration layer

Together with XXL Nutrition and Diract IT, we restructured and centralised all integration flows inside Alumio. Sales orders, purchase orders, stock updates, fulfilment, returns. One clear layer instead of scattered connections.

The result? More overview, more control, and a setup that is ready for whatever comes next.

This is what scalable commerce infrastructure looks like in practice.

Does this sound familiar?

Adding a new WMS, switching ERP, introducing a PIM. Every one of these moments is an opportunity to either add complexity or reduce it. The difference lies in how you approach the integration layer.
